Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Seencite (the "Service"), operated by Seencite ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Seencite is a software service that crawls websites, audits their SEO/AEO/GEO readiness, measures whether a brand appears in AI answer engines, and generates recommended fixes and content. Outputs are estimates and prioritization tools, not guarantees.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.

3. Authorization to crawl and modify (important)

You represent and warrant that, for every website, domain, or property you submit to the Service, you own it or are authorized by its owner to have it crawled, audited, and (where you choose to deploy fixes) modified. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have such authorization. Do not submit properties you do not control or have permission to analyze.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not use the Service to attack, overload, scrape without authorization, or gain unauthorized access to any system.
• Do not submit unlawful, infringing, or malicious content.
• Do not resell, reverse-engineer, or circumvent usage limits or billing.
• Do not use outputs to deceive users or search/AI systems (e.g., cloaking or manipulative content that violates a platform's policies).

5. Plans, billing, and trials

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor (Stripe). If a free trial is offered, we will begin charging the applicable fee when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. You can cancel anytime via the billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current period. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices with notice for future periods.

6. Usage limits and fair use

Plans include metered limits (projects, visibility prompts, content credits, and an API-spend safeguard). We may throttle or block operations that exceed your plan or that we reasonably believe are abusive, and prompt you to upgrade.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including AI providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Perplexity), Cloudflare (hosting and edge), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email). Your use is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party outages, changes, or model behavior.

8. Your content and our IP

You retain rights to the data and sites you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that data to provide the Service. We (and our licensors) retain all rights in the Service, software, and aggregated, de-identified analytics. Generated fixes and content are provided to you for your use; you are responsible for reviewing them before publishing.

9. No guarantee of results

AI visibility, citations, and search rankings depend on factors outside our control and change frequently. Scores, predictions, and lift estimates are informational and probabilistic. We do not guarantee any particular ranking, citation, traffic, or revenue outcome.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your lack of authorization to analyze or modify a property you submitted.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to comply with law. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity) survive termination.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
